December 26, 2019: The government of Andhra Pradesh along with RITES Ltd has approached the Ministry of Environment to develop a new 3437-acre non-major state port with a capacity of 125,000 deadweight tonnage (DWT) at Ramayapatnam in the district of Prakasam.
